Corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions

Voyatek has measured and established a baseline for its corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for the 12-month period ended June 30, 2023 (Baseline Period).   Voyatek reports zero (0) metric tons of GHG emissions for Voyatek’s Scope 1 and 2 organizational and operational boundaries 1.  Voyatek intends to maintain zero (0) Scope 1 and 2 emissions for the next 12-month reporting period.

Voyatek is finalizing its Baseline Period evaluation and measurement for Scope 3 GHG emissions based on approximately 36,000 square feet of full-service leased office2 and a workforce exceeding 500 employees and contractors as of June 30, 2023.  Voyatek has set a goal to reduce its Scope 3 Baseline Period emissions during the next 12-month reporting period by at least 10% through: 1) further consolidation of office space (i.e., shrinking the footprint); and 2) expansion and maximization of telework across the Voyatek workforce, including employees, subcontractors, and independent contractors.

1 Voyatek applied the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, “GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard” (https://ghgprotocol.org/corporate-standard) and related “Simplified GHG Emissions Calculator” published by the Environmental Protection Agency.

2 Voyatek office space utilization is acquired under full-service operating leases where Voyatek does not have financial/economic nor operating control over the leased facilities wholly-managed by the lessors.  Lease agreements bundle energy and electric utility services which are not separately broken-out or reported to Voyatek.  Thus, as a lessee, Voyatek is not a direct purchaser of electricity, natural and other gases, fuels used for owned and leased assets, refrigerants, and other supplemental heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
